“Internationally June is designated MG Awareness month and this for us is a part I activities in recognition of that. The truth of the matter is that in Barbados, MG is a rare illness and people are unacquainted with the condition.”

“…I believe in total we have over a hundred persons who have been diagnosed with the diseases, according to the information coming from our medical practitioners,” she revealed.

Myasthenia Gravis affects the muscles and is sometimes called “Rag Doll Syndrome”. It can affect one side of the body or one eye, which is why sometimes, sufferers are mistakenly assumed to be sleeping. (RG)
