A NEW QUEEN Elizabeth Hospital is still in the Government’s plan, as the search continues for the ideal location.
Minister of Health John Boyce said yesterday he and other health officials had recently visited the newest site under consideration for building “a complete hospital facility”, including a permanent home for the ambulance service. Though not disclosing the location, Boyce said: “We need to come to a final strategic position in respect to the location of a new hospital and all the facilities associated with a new hospital.” He revealed that a new temporary facility for the Emergency Ambulance Service was being prepared at an Industrial Development Corporation site in Wildey.
