Department of Commerce warns of recalled protein drinks, bars

THE PUBLIC IS asked to note that the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs is aware that a number of products have been recalled. These include a selection of protein drinks comprising Protein Plus Shakes with ‘best by’ dates between 6/20/16 to 9/18/16 by Bolthouse Farms; and four specific flavours of Nature Valley Protein Chewy Bars and Nature Valley Simple Nut Bars by General Mills. However, the Standards Administration Unit of the Department is currently working with importers and distributors to ascertain whether the affected items have been imported into Barbados. To this end, detailed information relating to the products affected can be obtained by visiting the Barbados Government Information Service’s website, www.gisbarbados.gov.bb.
