The Cayman Heart Fund is offering free medical screenings to
the public on Saturday, 1 June.

The free checks will be available at the lower hall of the New Testament Church of God, located at 26 Bronze Road in George Town – opposite the Mirco Centre and next to Animal House – from 8am to 11am on Saturday.

The screenings will allow members of the public to know their numbers when it comes to their blood pressure, body mass index, waist circumference, blood glucose, cholesterol and HbA1c. Doctors from private practices, nurses from the Health Services Authority and the private sector, as well as student doctors from St. Matthew’s University will be on hand to carry out the testing and to discuss results
and give fitness assessments.

There will also be information booths from Cayman Pharmacy Group and the Diabetes Association.

Anyone planning to have testing done is advised not to eat or drink for 10 hours before the screening, except to wash down medications like blood pressure tablets, which should be taken as normal.

People are also advised to try to bring previous screening or lab reports with them so they can be compared with their test results Saturday.

The free checks are open to everyone.
