T&T – Tobago doctors to get new salaries

TOBAGO House of Assembly Health Secretary Claudia Groome-Duke has announced an early Christmas present for Tobago Regional Health Authority (TRHA) workers, saying all doctors and medical staff will receive their new revised salaries by next Tuesday.
Groome-Duke made the announcement during yesterday’s THA media briefing, adding that approval was made on October 1.
She said the TRHA accounting staff is working overtime to make the payments possible.
“The Executive Council has concurred with the decision of the Secretary of Health and Social Services to approve a new compensation package, with effect from October 1, 2015, to the doctors who are employed on contract with the TRHA,” Groome-Duke said. (Trinidad Express)
