St. John’s Antigua- Mounting public complaints have prompted the Health Minister to urge Cabinet to conduct a major review of the management and staff at Mount St. John’s Medical Centre.

During the budget debate, Wilmoth Daniel also told Parliament he’s not satisfied that the plans and programmes at the hospital are working.

Daniel acknowledged that Mount St. John’s which opened on February 2009 is a new hospital and is still going through teething problems.

But he believes a major part of the problem is that staff who might not have been performing or given good service at Holberton were automatically transferred to Mount St. John’s.

During his contribution the Health Minister also pushed the need for the country to have a state of the art diagnostic facility that would be a mini-hospital
