The Medical Association of Jamaica (MAJ), which will celebrate its Golden Jubilee next year, recently launched “Healthy Population Campaign” which will target obesity reduction and increased physical activity in the first instance.
The President of the MAJ, Dr. Shane Alexis, in recent correspondence with the HCC indicated that “the MAJ hoped to be able to successfully promote and educate participants on healthy practices in MAJ seminars with one of the objectives being to reduce the instances and possible complications of NCD’s in Jamaica”.
