Dominica is benefitting from a new electronic Health System Module for Eye Care, Maternal and Child Health programs developed by two teams of students from the Catholic School of Public Health in Santiago, Chile. We are extremely delighted and extremely pleased with the progress that has been made. They have completed their tasks and have handed over as off yesterday all the documents related to the project including having trained the users of the system,” Ricketts said to the Dominica press.

He also spoke of the initiative as having built long-standing bridges and friendships between Chile and Dominica.

The second team of students were presented with tokens of appreciation and commendations alongside certificates of appreciation. The second team of students were attached to the Health Information Unit for four months and bade farewell to the Unit during the Christmas Season.
