Youth advocate living with an NCD, presents at the Latin American Congress of Pediatrics

Youth advocate living with an NCD, Christine Bocus recently presented at the Latin American Congress of Pediatrics.
She is a youth advocate living with an NCD and made her presentation at the Latin American Congress of Pediatrics in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
Ms. Bocus will be shared her experiences on an NCD Panel entitled Prevention and Treatment of Non-communicable Diseases in Children and Adolescents.
The session was sponsored by American Academy of Pediatrics, International Pediatric Association, and NCD Child and featured the following speakers: Dr. Kristie E. Appelgren, USA, – Nutrition, physical activity, and the role of governments; Dr. Manuel Peña Escobar, Ecuador – Role of health systems in preventing and treating NCDs; Dr. Ignacio Vázquez León, México – Case Studies: Injury Prevention and Exposure to Tobacco; and Christine Bocus, Trinidad & Tobago – Learning to Live with an NCD.
