Described as one of the top countries to watch with respect to medical tourism investment opportunities, Global News Matters which produces the fortnightly Market Dynamics Caribbean newsletter has listed Cayman Island Health City as one of the top 5 countries for 2015 in which to invest.

This was announced during a live webinar entitled “Caribbean Outlook: Winning in 2015 and Beyond”. The presentation included key features for investment opportunities in the region. In addition, Global News Matters listed the Hospital as one of the five “Top investment projects to follow” this year.

Marketing Director of Health City Cayman Islands Shomari Scott, said the international hospital was honoured to be considered a top five “game changer” for the new year. “We look forward to raising the bar by consistently providing high quality, affordable healthcare services to local, regional and international patients in 2015″. He also promised that new additions to the facility will be announced in the coming months.

Melissa Marchand Managing Director of Global News Matters said, “the sector has to be carefully planned with Caribbean countries coordinating to avoid costly duplication and inefficiencies”. She also added that medical tourism is on the rise in the region but there is a danger that organizations will build facilities and then hope and wait for patients to come.
