The Jamaica Government has invested more than $600 million to improve the health care infrastructure in that island, according to reports.
Fergusson made the announcement recently at the Nannyville Health Centre in St. Andrew which was also recently refurbished by the NHF to the tune of $51 million dollars.
To date, over 100 health care facilities are undergoing expansion and upgrade while nine facilities are currently undergoing renovation, according to JA’s Health Minister Dr. Fenton Fergusson.
Fergusson said that the renovation work is being executed by the National Health Fund (NHF) as the Government seeks to improve health care facilities and delivery across Jamaica.
